Adding Radio Networks
After you have signed into the directory, a list for creating radio networks shows up along with its columns "Name", "Location, State (USA)", "Country" and "Language".
A radio network always consists of at least one radio station. If a radio network has multiple stations e.g. for different music styles, the stations are summarized using the name of the network.

- Click on "Add Network".
- In the „Name“ column type in the title of the radio network and its internet address.
- "Location, State (USA)" marks the head office of the radio station, mostly found on the contact page of its website. The additional text field "State" should be used for radio stations located in the United States. Enter the code of the state e.g. CA for California.
- In the column "Country" choose the country of origin of the radio station. If you can not identify the country using the stations domain name, the contact page of the website might be helpful.
- In the "Language" column the language in which the radio station transmits its program is to be chosen.
- Click on "Apply" if you're done.
The radio network has been completed and you can continue by adding the radio station.
Adding Radio Stations
- Choose "Add Station“.
- Enter the name of the station. Is the name identical to the name of the radio network, enter the word "live". If you use the word „live“, Snowtape's radio directory only shows the name of the network. Only enter „live“ for the main radio station, so that it can be separated from other station in the network.
- In the column „Description“ you may add a slogan or motto of the radio station. In most cases it can be found on the website of the radio station.
- Choose a music style or classification in the column "Genre", which is typical for the station. Does it play different music styles choose "Mixed".
- Click on "Apply" if you're done. Now you can add the URL of the radio streams and its bitrates.
- The column "Format“ distinguishes between „OGG“, „AAC“, WMA“ and „MP3“. Choose the correct format.
- Enter the bitrate in the corresponding text field. Typical bitrates are: 24kbps, 48kbps, 64kbps, 96kbps, 128kbps, 196kbps etc.
- Enter the URL of the radio stream into the „Link“ text field. You can test the URL by selecting the arrow on the right and choose "Test Link".
- Click on "Apply" if you're done and Snowtape could establish a connection.
The red marks next to your data changes into green marks after checking and approving by Vemedio. Your radio networks and stations are now available for all Snowtape users.
